MURAD ZAAMOUT
PRESIDENT & DIRECTOR OF HOCKEY OPERATIONS
Murad Zaamout is the Director of Hockey Operations and Head Coach at ROAR Hockey Academy. A Calgary native, Murad developed through the AEHL with the Calgary Royals, where his passion for high-performance hockey took root.
As a results-driven coach, Murad has led teams to a PHL Championship, a PHL Silver Medal, and four City Championship titles. In 2025–26, he will take the next step in his hockey playing journey, entering the Junior A stream in the USPHL Premier.
Murad is a certified powerskating instructor, known for his expertise in stride development, efficiency, edge control, and overall skating mechanics. With over five years of coaching experience across multiple organizations including Winsport Skate and Hockey School, he has trained athletes of all ages and skill levels. His leadership, technical knowledge, and commitment to development make him an integral part of ROAR Hockey Academy.

SARA NOYES
OPERATIONS MANAGER
Sara Noyes serves as the Operations Manager at ROAR Hockey Academy, bringing over a decade of experience in leadership, business operations, and community development. With a background in managing teams, running businesses, and leading organizations at both the executive and board level, Sara ensures ROAR runs efficiently and delivers an exceptional experience for athletes and families.
Her proven track record in organizational growth, strategic planning, and community engagement makes her a vital part of ROAR’s leadership team.

DANNY SCHMIRLER
ON-ICE LEAD
Born in Provo, USA and raised in Calgary, AB, Danny Schmirler spent the majority of his minor hockey career with the Calgary Buffaloes, competing at the U15 AA, U15 AAA, U16 AAA, U18 AAA levels. Following his minor hockey success, he went on to play Jr. A hockey with the Columbia Valley Rockies in the KIJHL.
Danny is now focused on player development, working as a skills and power skating coach with Breakaway Power Skating, as well as working with young athletes, with his company, Schmirler Stickhandling and Shooting. Coach Danny brings energy and technical expertise to his role as an assistant coach with ROAR Hockey Academy, helping athletes sharpen their game and reach their full potential.

JAYDEN NUNWEILER
ON-ICE LEAD
Jayden brings a wealth of elite playing experience to ROAR Hockey Academy.
He spent the majority of his minor hockey career with the Calgary Royals in the AEHL, where he competed at the U15 AA, U16 AA, U17 AAA, and U18 AA levels, establishing himself as a natural goal scorer. In January 2025, Jayden was named AEHL Player of the Month and served as an assistant captain on a highly successful U18 AA team. His impressive minor hockey résumé, combined with his natural leadership qualities, makes him a player favorite both on and off the ice. Jayden enters the Jr. A Hockey Stream in 2025/26 in the KIJHL. -
BROOKE DAVIS
LEAD GOALTENDING INSTRUCTOR
Brooke Davis is an elite-level goaltender currently competing in NCAA Division I women’s hockey with Colgate University. Her development path is one of exceptional dedication and high-performance achievement. Brooke sharpened her skills in top-tier boys' programs, including U15 AA with the Okotoks Oilers, and U15, U16, and U17 Prep with Edge School, before completing her minor hockey career with the North Shore Warriors U18 Prep team.
As a proud representative of Team Alberta at the 2023 North American Indigenous Games, and a featured athlete on Hometown Heroes by Sportsnet, Brooke exemplifies resilience, leadership, and excellence.
Brooke serves as a goaltending coach with ROAR Hockey Academy, bringing her high-level experience, technical expertise, and mentorship to the next generation of athletes.

ERIC DIMITROV
ON-ICE LEAD
Eric brings a wealth of experience and a natural leadership ability to his role as Assistant Coach for CRHA U15 Prep. During his minor hockey days in Calgary, primarily with the Trails West organization, Eric distinguished himself both as a skilled player and as a leader. He captured over five city titles and served as team captain for over four seasons.
Eric’s leadership and performance extended to the international stage when he represented Team Canada at the 2020 Cowboys Invitational Czech Hockey Cup. His exceptional play and leadership on the ice were pivotal in leading Canada to a 4th place finish. Eric Carries the following certifications:
